It's more fresh sounds, straight out of New Orleans! Live Music NOLA is pleased to bring you No Hand Jiving, an intriguing project led by Scott A. Nicholson that features original spoken word compositions against a backdrop of free improvisational music. "Sammy Don't Step On Her" is the name given to this particular incarnation of No Hand Jiving, which includes Brad Walker on sax, Jesse Morrow on Bass, Marcello Benetti on drums, and William A. Thompson on keys. The band members are all veterans of New Orleans' experimental jazz scene, performing regularly at Open Ears music series (the excellent weekly showcase curated by Jeff Albert), which explains the psychic connection that the players seem to have with each other.
